Open Source is a super-soft domestic wool base hand dyed in a lilac color, accented with deep red BFL, white silk, and red and purple firestar. This is going to make an amazing yarn!

Weight: 2 batts measuring 1.8 oz and 2.2 oz for a total weight of 4.0 oz

All of our hand-dyed fibers and yarns are hand painted in my home. If you request a specific colorway, there will be variation from lot to lot based on the dyeing process. No two dyed products will be alike - which is what makes working with hand-painted rovings and yarn so much fun! :)

Although I make every effort to represent the color accurately in the picture, all monitors vary. Please keep this in mind!

Please note: all fibers are dyed and processed in our non-smoking home, with cats, a dog, and a husband. Although we do our best to ensure that no cat or dog hair goes home with you, if you are highly allergic to these animals, you may feel the need to shop elsewhere.

We use only the finest wool top for our dyed 'rovings'. Although each type of fiber has its own unique characteristics, the fibers we choose are all soft, pliable, and perfect for beginners or experienced spinners.

All of our products are hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes for vibrant, colorfast colors. We steam-set the dyes and double-rinse the fiber to make sure the colors are as set as possible.
