These glasses are hand painted (free-hand) and then baked so that the paint is permanent, even when washed in a dishwasher on high heat. Hand washing is still recommended, but you do not have to treat these glasses delicately. They will stand up to scrubbing, clanging, even if you try to chip this paint off, it stays.

About the glasses:
The blank glasses were purchased new from Pottery Barn. They are very sturdy glasses, suitable for both red and white wines. But they do hold any liquid equally well, and would make a great statement as a water or juice glass! They hold 16 fluid ounces, and stand 9 inches high. They make a very cheerful, full sound when clinked together to start the evening off on the right tone!
