Green Woven Rug

Description

This rug was made on a Union two-harness loom. My mother has been weaving rugs for over 3 decades on this loom. The black and white warp is all cotton, the rags are recycled clothing and fabric ends that she has collected over the years.

All her rugs are machine washable. Hanging to Dry is recommended as the action of the dryer can be hard on the warp threads.

These are nice thick rugs and they wear like iron. I have a couple of them that she gave me for my high school graduation (more than a couple of decades ago) and both of them still look great.

This rug is a varigated green with blue accents. (see pictures)
The size is 25.5" x 48" or 2' x 4'.
All rugs have a 3" tied off warp fringe on each end.
