Mini Hardwood toy sewing machine - Doll size
Description
Christina from Bamboletta Dolls gave me the inspriation to build matchy matchy child and doll size sewing machines.
This is sized for an 18" doll.....I think
The bodies are made from Garry Oak an endangered and protected species native to southern Vancouver Island. The wood came from a 450 year old tree on a farm in the Saanich Peninsula. It was hit by lightning and split in two. It was milled on site and dried for a few years, I have a few pieces from that tree and made this sewing machine. The base is Mahogany.
Stands 5" tall base is 3" X 6"
The crank turns and the needle goes up and down.
Finished in non-toxic oil.
