This Hebrew pendant is made from a vintage Scrabble tile (approx. 3/4 inch square). The words, "A great miracle happened there," spiral on a blue and white background. The saying on this tile (in Hebrew, "nes gadol haya sham") can be found abbreviated on the driedels we play with for the holiday. The miracle refers both to the story of one day's supply of oil lasting for the necessary eight days, and also to the victory of Judah Maccabee and his small band of followers against a stronger and more numerous enemy.
This is an original design by me; all designs and artwork copyrighted by Poemweave Designs. Please see my other listings for other "miracle pendants" in additional colors and designs. Several other Hanukkah designs are available, as well.
The letter on the back of each tile will vary--photo of tile backs is for example only.
Each tile is sealed with a glossy two-part jewelers' grade resin and has a silver-plated bail securely attached to the back. (I also have gold-plated bails available for the same price--please convo me if you prefer a gold bail.) The tile is not waterproof, so please remove before bathing or swimming. This pendant is not intended for children.
Your pendant will be shipped in a purple gift box tied with a ribbon--ready for giving (or for keeping!).
Although I only list one of each pendant design at a time, I usually have more copies of each design. Please convo me if you are interested in purchasing more than one of the same design.
Please note that this listing is for the pendant only; the chain is not included. You can find chains listed in the "Chains and keychains" section of my shop. Chains will ship for free with your purchase of a Scrabble tile pendant.
Prefer putting your Scrabble tile on a key ring? Key chains are also available in the "Chains and keychains" section of my shop and ship for free with your purchase of a Scrabble tile.
