All the pockets, the zippers that securely lock, the beautiful lining, and the small details like the printed strap and the pretty zipper pulls, make this bag absolutely perfect! 1. Do you make all the bags yourself?
Yes! Each UpBeatBag is handmade by me, Carol, in my Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi studio using upcycled materials. Every piece is truly one-of-a-kind. 🌺
2. What does “upcycled” mean?
I repurpose high-quality leather jackets, fabrics, and hardware to give them new life as beautiful, durable bags. It’s eco-friendly and stylish! ♻️
3. What’s your return policy?
Not quite what you hoped for? No worries — you can return it within 14 days of delivery if the item is unused and in original condition (buyer pays return shipping). I’d much rather have each UpBeatBag be loved and worn than left unused in a closet. Just send me a message and we’ll work it out.
4. How long will shipping take?
Most orders ship within 1–3 business days. U.S. shipping from Hawaiʻi typically takes 3–7 business days via USPS Mail.
4. Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time — I currently ship within the U.S. only.
5. What if I change my mind after ordering?
If you haven’t received a shipping notification yet, message me as soon as possible and I can cancel your order.
6. Do you offer gift wrapping?
Absolutely! Your gift will be wrapped with aloha in eco-friendly twine-tied island paper, finished with gift tag & your message. 🎁 For direct delivery, update shipping name & address at checkout.
7. What if something goes wrong with the hardware or stitching?
Every UpBeat Bag is designed to be sturdy and loved for years, so issues are rare — but life happens! If strap hardware, snaps, zippers, rivets, or stitches ever fail, just reach out and I’ll help with a repair or replacement solution depending on what’s going on.
Normal wear-and-tear from everyday use is totally expected over time, but if something breaks before it should or doesn’t hold up the way it ought to, I want to know. Your bag should make you happy, not stressed — and I’ll work with you to make it right.
8. What’s the difference between Island Bags and UpBeat Originals?
🌺 All UpBeat Bags are handmade one at a time in Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi using upcycled leather, fabrics, and clothing sourced from local Hawaiʻi stores. The difference between collections is simply the inspiration behind each design.
Island Bags are inspired by life in Hawaiʻi and feature authentic Hawaiian fabrics, island colors, and tropical motifs paired with upcycled materials.
UpBeat Originals showcase the same craftsmanship and sustainability, but are inspired beyond Hawaiʻi. These designs focus on texture, color, and everyday style without Hawaiian-themed fabrics.
No matter the collection, every UpBeat Bag is one-of-a-kind, thoughtfully made, and stitched with aloha.
