So this is a change of direction!

Here I am, the owner of a small business, making earrings out of polymer clay to sell at craft fairs and on Etsy! How did that happen? Why on earth do I think I can be an entrepreneur?

Crafting with polymer clay is nothing new to me. It has been a hobby for many years, and during my years as a Primary School Teacher, I have taught many youngsters how to make basic gifts out of the versatile material for Mothers' Day! I have also made custom chess sets and models of some beautiful houses in Bermuda, where we used to live. I am now back in my native North Yorkshire, and excited to find a new career.

Coming from a family of artists, I have always loved being creative. Every day is a chance to experiment and see what I can make. It allows me to have more time to spend at home, where I am a carer to my adult disabled son. In fact, you should check out my Unicorn Horns. For every purchase of a set of horns, I will give a £2 donation to the RDA Unicorn Centre in Middlesbrough, which gives disabled people opportunities to ride horses. It is a spectacular charity, and I know the importance of financial support for these organisations.
