Welcome to AwberyArt, the brand that I have given to all of the original artwork and paintings that I personally create. I'm Roy P Awbery and a UK-based artist living in Berkshire and who has the unusual condition for an artist in being profoundly colour blind! Yes, really! This means that my art is truly unique and possibly created with some colours you might not have expected but it certainly provides a talking point for anyone viewing the artwork. Take a look around my shop and let me know what you think.

Frequently asked questions
Will my painting look exactly the same as the images on the shop and website?
No matter how carefully the photography was carried out, there will always be slight differences in how a painting appears in real life than when rendered on a phone or computer screen. If, on receipt of your painting you are unhappy with the colour, saturation or depth of colouring please contact me. If you are truly unhappy with the painting I will be happy to accept a return and refund.
How will my painting be packaged?
All of my paintings are hung in my studio until they are purchased. Once I receive an order I will carefully wrap your painting in bubble wrap before applying a layer of brown parcel paper. This will be finished with a brand label. The packaging up to this point will be tidy enough to give to someone as a gift. For transit, the wrapped painting will be packaged in a layer or more of cardboard or will be boxed, depending on size. To minimise environmental impacts and reduce waste, I often re-use old packaging so please don't be alarmed if the outer packaging looks a little rustic!
I'm purchasing from outside the UK - who pays for import duty and taxes
The buyer is entirely responsible for the costs of any import duty and import taxes.
How will my painting be delivered?
I will always send artwork out by the cheapest method available, usually Royal Mail second class for small paintings.
Larger paintings may be classed as large parcels and may have to be sent by Parcel Force or similar.
If your painting cost £50 or more I will post it via tracked and recorded delivery and will declare the value of the painting for compensation purposes should the painting be lost or damaged in transit.
What do I do if my painting arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all?
I will make every effort to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase but sometimes things do go wrong that are beyond my control. If you have a problem on receipt or your painting has not arrived after 2 weeks please contact me in the first instance and I will do everything I can to resolve the situation to your satisfaction.
Your happiness is very important to me and I will do all I can for you.
Care instructions
Your painting may be cleaned of surface dust by gently wiping with a lint-free cloth. DO NOT use any cleaning chemicals to clean your painting.
If the surface becomes lightly stained you may attempt to remove the stain by using a dampened lint-free cloth and rubbing the surface gently. Do NOT apply excessive pressure to the surface or you will risk damaging the canvas or paper on which your painting is supported.
Do the paintings come framed?
No. Unless expressly shown in the listing my paintings are not framed. I can provide a framing service at additional cost, on request.
Does my painting come with a Certificate of Authenticity?
Yes. All of my paintings and artwork come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. If yours is missing when you receive your painting please let me know and I will immediately send it to you and I will also send replacements should you lose or damage yours.
Are the paintings ready to hang?
Yes. All paintings will come with a basic wire or string fitting to enable them to be hung immediately upon receipt. You may wish to replace this with something else but the fitting applied will be suitable and sufficient to support the painting.
How are the edges on canvas paintings finished?
All stretched canvases, with edges less than 1 inch, will be finished with either white or black edges.
Box canvases, with edges greater than 1 inch will either be finished in black or white or may have the main image carried over onto the sides.
