Olive & Greene is a small independent business where we hand make natural skincare and toiletry products in small batches in our workshop in Cropredy, Oxfordshire.

The company was named after my grandmother, Olive Greene, who taught me much about natural skincare, but her name also represents the two most important principles of our business. Firstly, Olive represents that our products are natural and plant based. Secondly, Greene signifies our commitment to ensure our products are as friendly to the environment as our customers' skin and senses. So, we avoid plastic where possible, we use eco-friendly packaging that is compostable, recyclable or reusable, such as recycled paper, glass, and suitable metal containers and we offer refills in compostable bags.

All our ingredients are vegan. Our products are cruelty-free and have only been tested on willing friends! We use natural oils, butters, and botanicals along with natural clays and salts to create beautiful cruelty-free products. We also use gentle plant-based surfactants to aid cleansing in some of our products.

All our scents come from essential oils which are carefully selected for their benefits to both the skin and mind. No fragrance oils are used, and all colours are natural from plant powders or clays. Given everything is a chemical in some format, no one can say that their products are ‘chemical free’. You can be assured, however, that our products have been formulated to ensure they are free from harsh chemicals, which cause problems for sensitive skin and the environment. Our products contain no sulphates (e.g.SLS), parabens, phthalates and petro-chemicals that are to be found in most mass-produced skincare and toiletry products.

In accordance with UK legislation all our products have been produced and labelled to comply with Cosmetic Products Safety Regulations (CPSR). A safety assessment has been carried out by a fully certified cosmetic scientist, to give assurances, that our products are safe for their intended use.
