For your consideration is an impressive Turbo Marmoratus or Green Turban sea shell specimen, depicting a very detailed carving decoration of a dragon and phoenix bird. As shown on the pictures, it is mounted on a smaller shell, jointed with a screw. It measures 8" high by 6" wide, at its widest point. This magnificent sculpture is in pretty good condition with a crack on the joint area, caused by pressure exerted from the screw holding system of the two pieces. Also, there are some nicks on the lip (edge) and scratches on the apex (tip of the shell). It weights 1 pound and 9 ounces.
