Hold down one of middle 2 strings then pull the excess string (frayed part) to the left and the other to the right to even out. If it doesn't budge, try holding down the other of the 2 middle strings and try pulling excess string again. *See picture in the shop photos and a video in the video section for help

With a finger, pull the single string part of the bracelet, then pinch the knot and push left/inwards. *See shop photos for help.

These are adjustable bracelets for average wrists; I normally wear them tight at the wrist. But I do make them for smaller baby/toddler wrists as well. And even for bigger wrists. Just send me a message in the "note to seller", if you want it for smaller or bigger wrists :). If you want them a specific size, please send me your wrist size (measured tight at the wrist).

Of course you can!! I actually never take mine off, and it's been holding up pretty well, especially the beads! But it will eventually wear out, not exactly sure how long (depends on the person/activity) and it will begin to have the more worn out look. I do knot off the frayed part so it shouldn't fray from that point.

I've worn a red string bracelet for a little over 14 years now. For me it's a type of talisman. There are many meanings for "a red string"...for me personally it stands for strength, protection, faith, and the gold-filled beads represent my family. It's usually worn on the left, they say it's the receiving side of the body (so it's worn on my left wrist). I've read of people praying over the bracelets and the receiver receives all good things (now who wouldn't want that?!). However you can make these bracelets meaningful to you any way you want. I love that they are simple yet with a whole lot of meaning.

Silk cords will have no stretch, where as Nylon will have a very tiny slight stretch (you might not even notice). Nylon tends to be a lil bit more durable than silk. Silk will however have a slightly more lustrous look than nylon. Silk is more soft and supple.
