This is me!
Hi Guys!
I'm Loralie, the owner of Mumsy Makes.
A little bit about me.... I'm a mum of two beautiful tiddlywinks and wife to my amazing husband Bobby.
I started to crochet just after my son was born 6 years ago after miserably failing with knitting! I was sooo proud of myself for creating a chain and remember making some pretty horrific doll blankets for my niece! (Aunty Lolly is SO sorry Ameilia!) But once I got started I was determine to crack on and get going and once I thought I had cracked it I opened an Etsy store!
Big mistake as I had only been crocheting for a few months and I was definitely not ready with a baby at home. So I left it alone for 4 YEARS! In that time I had another baby and went to college to do hairdressing.
Then in 2020 my little family upped sticks and moved to Wales! Over 100 miles from our home town to a place called Caerphilly where we knew......NO ONE!
I decided that if there was ever going to be a time to get my little business off the ground it was now and so I knuckled down and got to work on my Etsy store.
I researched like a crazy person and when it all felt like too much I asked my friend Aimee who has her own little business what the ins and outs were for her. I have her to thank for being as successful as I am, as without her I don't think I would have known my foot from a rock!
So here we are in 2022 and I'm now married, with two tiddlywinks, living in Wales, in my second year of business and absolutely LOVING IT!
My customers are simply the best people in the world and I have them to thank for being so lovely and supporting my little dream. So thank you everyone and I hope you enjoy my little shop.
