We zijn voornamelijk in Home Decor en we hebben een kleine eenheid aan de rand van Delhi waar we voornamelijk handgemaakte quilts produceren. We zijn ook in de productie Mandala wandtapijten, Dekbedovertrekken, Mandala gordijnen, Mandala Tassen. Mandala Vloerkussenhoezen en Mandala Roundies. Voor al deze mandala items hebben we een band met de drukkerij waar we een bestelling plaatsen voor de bedrukte stof alleen. Al dit drukwerk wordt voornamelijk met de hand gedaan door handzeefdruk of blokdruk. - Zodra we de bedrukte stof van de molen ontvangen, doen we het stiksel in onze unit.
In het geval van Quilts leg ik de laatste hand aan het ontwerp en de te gebruiken stoffen. Meestal ga ik zelf de markt op langs de sourcing man om de belangrijkste bovenste laag stoffen voor de quilts te kopen. De meester plant vervolgens de productie op basis van het ontwerp dat hij krijgt. Hij berekent het stofverbruik voor de achtervoering, het verbruik voor de polyfill en het verbruik voor andere te gebruiken sierlijsten zoals stikgarens en borduurdraden. De sourcing man krijgt al deze grondstof. In de tussentijd als het een patchwork quilt is, voltooit meester het snijden van de patches, nadat al het stikwerk is gedaan, de quilt wordt aan de dames gegeven voor handborduurwerk, nadat het borduurwerk is voltooid, de laatste stap is het bevestigen van de bies op de quilt. Zodra de quilt klaar is, gaat deze naar de kwaliteitscontroleur die het stuk grondig controleert en dan komt het naar mij voor definitieve goedkeuring. Zodra ik groen licht geef, dan gaat het naar de jongen die verantwoordelijk is voor het inpakken en uiteindelijk wordt het overgedragen aan de verzender om het pakket te verzenden.
We are mainly into Home Decor and we have a small unit on the outskirts of Delhi where we mainly manufacture handmade quilts . We are also into manufacturing Mandala wall tapestries , Duvet covers , Mandala curtains , Mandala Bags .Mandala Floor Cushion covers and Mandala Roundies . For all these mandala items , we have a tie up with the printing mill where we place an order for the printed fabric only . All this printing work is done by hand mainly either by Handscreen printing or Block Printing . - As soon as we receive the printed fabric from the mill , we do the stitching in our unit .
In case of Quilts , I finalise the design and the fabrics to be used . Most of the time i go the market myself along the sourcing guy to buy the main upper layer fabrics for the quilts . The Master then plans the production based on the design he is given . He calculates the fabric consumption for the back lining , consumption for the polyfill and consumption for other trims to be used like stitching threads and embroidery threads . The sourcing guy gets all this raw material . In the meanwhile if it is a patchwork quilt , master completes the cutting of the patches , after all the stitching has been done , the quilt is given to the ladies for hand embroidery , after the embroidery is complete , the last step is attaching the piping on the quilt . Once the quilt is ready , it goes to the quality controller who checks the piece thoroughly and then it comes to me for final approval . Once i give a go ahead , then it goes to the boy responsible for packing and finally it is handed over to the shipping guy to send the parcel .
