Greetings, I picked up the typewriter on Tuesday afternoon. I wanted to inform you that the Royal "backplate" was bent to one side - leaning down towards the left. I immediately checked the photo and realized this had to happen in transit. Luckily my husband was able to unscrew the right side and bend it back into position - unfortunately a bit of the black paint chipped off during the mend. This part was distressing to say the least but, overall I am very pleased with my piece of literary history. I will keep you informed with how I incorporate my type into my art.
