This policy explains how I use and protect personal information when you buy from or contact PrettyFunctionalNL through Etsy.

To fulfil an order, Etsy may provide information connected to the transaction, such as your name, email address, order details, messages and, where relevant, billing or delivery information. Etsy processes payment information; I do not receive your full card details.

2. How I use it
I use this information only when needed to:
• provide and support your digital purchase;
• respond to messages or solve access or download problems;
• comply with legal, tax, accounting or Etsy requirements;
• protect the shop and prevent fraud or misuse; and
• use Etsy’s built-in marketing features, such as offers Etsy sends to eligible shoppers.

I do not add buyers to an external mailing list or use their contact details for unsolicited marketing.

3. Legal bases
Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, I rely on fulfilment of our contract, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as customer support and shop security. Where consent is legally required, I rely on consent.

4. Sharing
I share personal information only as needed with Etsy, service providers used to operate the shop or deliver digital products, or authorities where legally required. Etsy processes information under its own privacy policy. I do not sell buyer information.

5. Digital tools
My browser-based tools do not require a separate customer account. Information buyers enter in those tools is stored locally on their device and is not sent to me unless they choose to include it in a support message. Website hosting providers may process basic technical information necessary to deliver and secure the site.

6. Retention
I keep order or message information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support and meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. Etsy may retain information under its own policies.

7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, restrict or delete personal information, object to certain uses, or receive a copy of it. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
