About the Rested Maker
Ciao, sono Sarah, la mente e il cuore dietro The Rested Maker.
Questo negozio è nato durante un periodo di esaurimento. Avevo lavorato a pieno ritmo per troppo tempo e alla fine ho toccato il fondo. In quel periodo di quiete e di difficile riposo, ho iniziato a ricordare chi ero veramente: non la versione di me sempre indaffarata, ma quella creativa. Quella che amava creare cose.
Così ho ripreso in mano i miei colori e la mia argilla. E è successo qualcosa di inaspettato:
Mentre creavo, mi sono sentita attratta sempre più profondamente dalla mia fede. I colori, le forme, i piccoli dettagli: tutto suscitava qualcosa in me, ricordandomi la vicinanza di Dio nei piccoli momenti quotidiani. Spesso mi ritrovavo a ridere e a sorridere mentre lavoravo: era come riscoprire una parte di me che avevo dimenticato da tempo.
Fu allora che capii cosa volevo fare: creare piccole cose che ispirassero sorrisi, infondessero pace e invitassero delicatamente le persone ad avvicinarsi alle Scritture, proprio come accade a me mentre le creo.
Ecco perché mi definisco "Il Creatore Riposato".
Questo negozio è il frutto del riposo, del rinnovamento e della riscoperta della gioia che Dio ha posto in me fin dall'inizio: una gioia che non avevo mai avuto il tempo di riconoscere prima. La gioia di creare.

Hi, I’m Sarah — the hands and heart behind The Rested Maker.
This shop began in a season of burnout. I had been running on all cylinders for far too long, and eventually I hit a wall. In that quiet, uncomfortable season of rest, I started remembering who I was — not the busy version of me, but the creative one. The one who loved making things.
So I picked up my paints and clay again. And something unexpected happened:
as I created, I found myself drawn deeper into my faith. The colors, the shapes, the tiny details — they all stirred something in me, reminding me of God’s nearness in the small, ordinary moments. I often found myself laughing and giggling as I worked — it felt like rediscovering a part of myself I had long forgotten.
That’s when I realized what I wanted to do: to make little creations that inspire smiles, spark peace, and gently invite people toward Scripture — the same way they do for me while I’m making them.
That’s why I call myself The Rested Maker.
This shop is the fruit of rest, renewal, and rediscovering the joy God placed in me from the beginning — a joy I never had the time to acknowledge before. The joy of making.
