Frequently asked questions
Do you combine shipping?
Absolutely. Send me a message!
What size is the model?
The model is me! I’m an 8-10 in dresses/pants and a medium in tops. Sometimes I’ll have to pin a bigger item to make it fit correctly, and I’ll make a note of that.
What size is the mannequin?
Her name is Dorcas and she’s a 6-8.
How does vintage sizing work?
Sizing has changed A LOT in the past 50 years, and beyond. Vintage sizes tend to be smaller than today’s, and it varies. If you want any other measurements to make as sure as possible it will fit, please don’t hesitate to ask.
With jeans, I make a best guess based on how they fit on my body. It’s not an exact science! I recommend you take a tape measure to your waist and the widest part of your behind, and figure out your inseam.
Is vintage clothing secondhand?
(Hey, it’s come up.)
Vintage is secondhand unless noted (deadstock, new with tags, etc.) These items have been somewhere the past 20+ years, usually in someone’s possession. But shopping secondhand lowers your carbon footprint and gives these charming pieces another life instead of a trip to the landfill!
Why have your prices gone up?
I hate it hate it hate it. (Hate it.) (Hate it.) Vintage fashion should be for everyone. But Rockies in particular have gotten harder to find. I’ve driven north to Wyoming, south to New Mexico and west to Grand Junction in search of vintage denim for the shop. Still trying to keep it cheap as possible, but cover the gas money.
