I love the things I have kept for years, but it is time to find my things a new home.
I grew up on a farm with parents who both were raised in small farming families. None were big farmers, or had a lot of money, but we got by with what they had. Friends are my family and I treat my customers as such!
I have been married for 37 years and have two children, son and daughter, neither are married.
I have always had a side business it seems. I have never been crafty but found things that I liked that I could share with others, one in particular was selling Longaberger baskets for a total of 10 years. I have quite the collection and may have a few to put on here, the majority I display and or use. I do love my pottery!
My husband retired in August 2011 after a 25 year career and works a part-time morning job. I retired June 1, 2018 after a 36 year career. I decided to re-energize a passion I had initiated in 1988 - to sell real estate and I LOVE it! Thankfully I do not rely on sales like most do and I am fortunate to be able to work with a few clients at a time and really have the pleasure of establishing friendships. I am not high pressure and have patience to a fault at times!
Being semi-retired I have the flexibility to plan my day how I want! When I am busy with real estate that is my focus. Often times, especially now, I can focus on the “when I have time, I will go through those boxes” items on my to do list that have been waiting patiently for me! If not that, we like to do things around the house to make things easier or change things up.
Looking though items I have collected over the years brings back memories of when I got them or a special period of time in my life. I hope items in my shop bring a smile to you as they have for me!
