This is my crochet pattern for the childs top down, no sew jumper crew neck granny stripe bell sleeve jumper. This is for the digital download.
I have recently rewritten this pattern after reading through feedback. The download now includes a condesnsed version of the jumper, has been written for a more normal double knit yarn and has both US and UK terminology available. I have left the original pattern there for those that like the longer more descriptive patterns.
Top down - worked from the neck down to the waist hem, then armpit to cuff so if you wish to make is longer or shorter you can, it can be extended as a tunic jumper or reduced to a cropped jumper it is a very versatile pattern and relatively quick to make (I made mine over three evenings)
Perfect for Pride in these beautiful rainbow colours.
No sew - the jumper is worked as one piece, you do not end up with lots of pieces to sew together.
This is a very simple, straight forward pattern suitable for intermediate or the more practised beginner, give it a try! I am happy to help.
The jumper requires around 6 colours of dk weight yarn, I used Stylecraft double knit. You will need less than 50g of each colour and a size 4.5 mm hook for the smaller jumpers. The jumper can be made in any colour combination or as just one colour.
The pattern has instructions for for ages 1 through to 12. there are instructions on how to reduce the size if you would like smaller than age 1 and how to increase the size if you would like larger than age 12. I do have the adult version of this jumper pattern listed separately.
I have my email and Instagram and Facebook contacts on the pattern so you are able to easily contact me if you want to discuss the project, need help, even video call if you are stuck and of course you can contact me here on Etsy.
The pattern is written in English and uses UK and US terminology - DC - Double Crochet (which is a US single crochet), TC - Treble Crochet (which is a US double crochet), chain, slip stitch and DC back loop only (with instructions on how to do this) (which is a US single crochet back loop only) . There are lots of pictures for reference.
