This tea was inspired by my time spent in the Mt Shasta Wilderness and neighboring forests. These are all plants that I have come to know and love during my years living here, and they are wildcrafted with great reverence. California Wild Lilac is also known as Red Root, whose root is commonly found in Lymphatic cleansing formulas. The leaf also contains cleansing properties albeit in a much more mild form, and is Lilac-scented, just as its flowers fill the air with a lovely lilac aroma. I wanted to create a tea based on this most pleasing scent and taste, and this is the result. The Manzanita bush grows alongside the Wild Lilac bush and bears a great resemblance, and is used to cleanse the kidneys. Pipsissewa, also native to Northern California, was used by Native Peoples for these same purposes, the three plants together creating an alchemical action of purification for waters of the body, the blood and lymph, which are essential and primary actions in the process of full body detoxification. The Thimbleberry bush boasts her tasty berries in the summer, while her leaves provide herbal nutrition and tonifying properties. The leaves of Thimbleberry are quite large, reminding me of the larger than life plants in the Lemurian age, a magical place in time that Mt Shasta is known to embody. The crystalline semi-conductor, silica, is found in abundance in Horsetail, which was wildcrafted near the Mt Shasta Headwaters, a pristine spring fed from the higher elevations of Mt Shasta. All of these plants and forests were sacred to the native peoples of this area, and still today maintain a high energetic frequency that can be seen and felt as 'New Earth.' This tea supports our passage into an expanded state of consciousness and the plants' medicinal properties confirm the need for those who are on this path to detoxify their bodies and purify their spirits in order to achieve entry and maintain presence in this higher dimensional space.
