Homophones PowerPoint - Guided Teaching
This interactive, engaging PowerPoint was created to make learning about homophones fun and enjoyable for students. Includes a huge range of common homophones and how to use them correctly in a sentence. Learning intentions and success criteria are clearly stated at the beginning of the PowerPoint. This is revisited at the lesson's conclusion to ensure learning has occurred, which is a great formative assessment tool. In this lesson, homophones are introduced early on and explained in simple terms. Examples of common homophones are then given. This is followed by multiple learning opportunities for students in a variety of question formats. These could be completed as a class or individually, with students writing the answers in their books.
