I make custom books out of recycled record albums and various other upcycled materials. When the vinyl has been loved to death, these books are my way of giving them a new spin on life. I also offer a wide variety of other artistic services. I love creating new things out of cool, old, discarded things.
I run an art store by day and dream of all kinds of things by night. I paint, write, garden, and have a love for anything and everything creative. I've run many businesses over the years and my experiences inspire me as much as educate me. I started Turntable Books 7 years ago after making my own books and journals for 20+ years.
I work exclusively with local record stores and only use record album covers that have been damaged. The vinyl was scratched or warped and is no longer playable as a record. Some stores save me the covers they get in that are missing the vinyl, and I am very careful to make sure no good vinyl is killed in the making of my books! These books are my way of giving new life to the amazing covers after the records inside have been loved to death.
I have a very large inventory at all times as I work with stores and do a lot of wholesale. Many of my books are not listed on Etsy because they are all one of a kind and listing them all is time consuming with the quick pace my inventory changes. If there is something you are looking for send me a message and ask, I may just have it!
I love doing custom orders for specific albums, movies, or anything else you want turned into a book. I have very reasonable rates and bulk discounts. I can also do custom papers. I have a constant stock of bristol, watercolor paper, multi-media paper, music staff paper, card stock, and colored papers. Message me for more information if you want any of my books customized or are looking for something you don't see.
Please don't hesitate to contact me for any reason you want. I love hearing your feedback, suggestions, stories and memories, and even how you stumbled across my store. So shoot me a message anytime you like! My favorite part of doing this is hearing all the amazing stories and memories people share. We may not be face to face here online, but feel free to share your stories with me. It's truly my favorite part of this job!
