Un viaje familiar a las Bahamas en enero es lo que inspiró la idea de Animal Based Sunscreen.
Al venir de Canadá y no estar bronceado (y puedo ponerme bastante oscuro), corría un alto riesgo de quemarme. Ante un dilema, dudaba en utilizar los protectores solares sintéticos y artificiales disponibles.
En lugar de eso, decidí saltarme el protector solar por completo e intenté esconderme en la sombra tanto como fuera posible, ya sea debajo de un árbol o debajo de mi toalla, pero terminé con una quemadura dolorosa de todos modos.
Esta experiencia me inspiró a crear una mejor manera de proteger nuestra piel: un protector solar natural tan saludable que cada ingrediente sea apto para uso alimentario y comestible (aunque no recomendamos comerlo; POR FAVOR, NO LO COMA).

Coming from Canada with no tan (and I can get pretty dark), I was at high risk of burning. Faced with a dilemma, I was hesitant to use the synthetic and artificial sunscreens available.
Instead, I chose to skip sunscreen altogether and tried hiding in the shade as much as possible, whether under a tree or under my towel, but I ended up with a painful burn anyway.
This experience inspired me to create a better way to protect our skin: a natural sunscreen so healthy that every ingredient is food grade and edible (though we don't recommend eating it - PLEASE DON'T EAT IT).
