Soy Noah, artista 3D residente en Austin, Texas. Descubrí el modelado 3D gracias a mis primeros intentos con una impresora 3D, un regalo de Navidad de mi hermana y su esposo en 2023. Mientras aprendía a usarla, imprimí un jarrón en espiral inspirado en la pirámide de Sierpiński. Esa única impresión despertó mi fascinación por la geometría fractal y el modelado 3D.

Permítanme aclarar: no soy matemático, desconozco fórmulas y no tengo formación académica en este campo. Todo lo que sé sobre geometría y diseño asistido por computadora (CAD) lo he aprendido por mi cuenta con la ayuda de YouTube, Wikipedia, inteligencia artificial y otros recursos en línea.

Comparto "arte matemático" en línea, pero irónicamente, de pequeña era pésima en matemáticas. Era mi asignatura más temida porque nunca la entendí y siempre me sentí fuera de lugar en clase. Ahora, por primera vez, empiezo a disfrutarla. Creo que he descubierto el porqué: las matemáticas, el diseño asistido por ordenador (CAD) y el modelado de precisión me permiten hacer algo que siempre me ha resultado profundamente satisfactorio: corregir desalineaciones, enderezar lo torcido y equilibrar lo desnivelado. Esa necesidad de precisión siempre ha formado parte de mí, y he encontrado la salida perfecta para ella en el modelado 3D y el diseño fractal. También me inspira la belleza de la naturaleza y la maravilla de los fractales, que se relacionan con mi fascinación por el universo y la tecnología.

A medida que aprendía a usar la impresora 3D y experimentaba con ella, creé una gran colección de modelos que me entusiasma compartir. Al principio intenté vender mis diseños en Cults3D, pero, siguiendo el consejo de mi esposa, decidí ofrecerlos gratis para que más gente pudiera disfrutarlos. Esa decisión generó un gran aumento en la interacción en diversas plataformas, especialmente después de empezar a compartir modelos públicamente en Printables y MakerWorld en la Navidad de 2024. Desde entonces, personas de todo el mundo han descargado e impreso mis diseños, con casi 20 000 descargas en todas las plataformas. Cuando lancé Endless Design Lab en mayo de 2024, añadir la venta de láminas a todo lo demás me parecía demasiado. Ahora, más de un año después, mis estanterías están llenas, mi flujo de trabajo está más optimizado y estoy lista para que algunas de estas láminas encuentren nuevos hogares.

I’m Noah, a 3D artist based in Austin, Texas. I discovered 3D modeling through my first attempts at using a 3D printer, a Christmas gift from my sister and her husband in 2023. While learning how to use it, I printed a spiral vase mode Sierpiński Pyramid. That single print sparked my obsession with fractal geometry and 3D modeling.

Let me be clear: I’m not a mathematician, I don’t know any formulas, and I have no formal training in this. Everything I know about geometry and CAD, I’ve taught myself with the help of YouTube, Wikipedia, Artificial Intelligence, and other online resources.

I share "math art" online, but ironically, I was terrible at math growing up. It was my most feared subject because I never understood it and always felt like an outsider in the classroom. Now, for the first time, I’m starting to love it. I think I’ve realized why: math, CAD, and precision modeling let me do something that has always felt deeply satisfying to me... correcting misalignment, straightening what is crooked, and balancing what is uneven. That need for precision has always been part of me, and I’ve found the perfect outlet for it in 3D modeling and fractal design. I’m also inspired by the beauty of nature and the wonder of fractals, which tie into my broader fascination with the universe and technology.

As I learned how to use the 3d printer and experimented with it, I created a large collection of models that I’m excited to share. I first tried selling my designs on Cults3D, but under the guidance of my wife, I decided to offer them for free instead so more people could enjoy them. That decision led to a big increase in engagement across multiple platforms, especially after I started sharing models publicly on Printables and MakerWorld on Christmas 2024. Since then, people around the world have downloaded and printed my designs, with nearly 20,000 downloads across platforms. Seeing how others connect with my work has only fueled my passion further.

When I first started Endless Design Lab in May 2024, adding print sales on top of everything else felt like too much. Now, over a year later, my shelves are full, my workflow is more dialed in, and I’m ready to start letting some of these prints go to new homes.
