What is Fine Silver?
Fine silver has a silver content of 99.9%, compared to Sterling silver at 92.5%. Fine silver is also referred to as .999 silver.
What is silver clay?
Silver clay is made from powdered silver in a clay-type base. It can be shaped and patterned like clay, then dried and kiln-fired. During firing, the clay base burns off, and the finished piece is nearly pure silver (.999 or fine silver.)
Do you sell earrings for non-pierced ears?
Most of my earrings can be converted to a clip style. Depending upon the type of clip requested, there may be a small additional cost.
What is Keum Boo?
Keum Boo (Korean "attached gold") is an ancient Korean gilding technique used to apply thin sheets of gold to silver, to make silver-gilt. I use it primarily to accent an individual piece, rather than to cover the entire surface.
