I'm a woodworker!
I'm a retired software developer who has been working with wood for most my life. It has always been a hobby until we built a home in Overland Park, Kansas where we suspended our 3-car garage floor. If you're not familiar a suspended garage floor, the builder excavates under the garage and put down a steel floor in the garage then pours a concrete floor on top of the steel. This added about 650 sf of space to our basement which became my workshop. I already had most of the power & hand tools along with dust collection. The shop always has an outside entrance so I don't have to come through a living area to get into my workshop. It's actually pretty sweet!
I enjoy a nice quality cigar on occasion and I have a number of friends who do the same. I built these humidors for myself and a few friends. This process also allowed us to test the humidors as to their fitness. We found they seal very well! They keep a humidity level between 65-75% for over two weeks before recharging the humidifier is necessary.
