This is another in my series of animal jars. A la Beatrix Potter and A.A. Milne, these little creatures take us on a flight of fancy to a magical realm where animals talk and go about in royal robes. If you are looking for a gift for someone or a treat for yourself, these are perfect for bringing a smile to the face. They appeal especially to those who love foxes. These little vessels can be purely decorative or some precious keepsake or memorabilia can be placed inside them. Some people use them to keep a remembrance of a beloved lost pet.

They are not for holding liquids because they do not have a tight fitting lid. This is part of the design. They are an interactive sculpture where the head can be turned to change the expression. The pictures try to give an example of the different ways they can look and feel.

I draw my inspiration from the canopic jars of Egypt and have been developing jars and bottles with heads for over 30 years. They are magical even to me. I have not made any for a while and am revisiting one of my all time best sellers.

When they need to be cleaned just carefully wash them as you would any porcelain figurine. And of course be very careful not to drop or lose the head. Do not use any abrasives as it can scratch the accents.
