Resplendent Brass & Copper FILIGREE Etched CZECH Iridescent Amethyst and Gold Gilt Art Glass Vintage Rosary Chain SAUTOIR Necklace

Delicate, immensely detailed, immeasurably beautiful, expertly crafted and a bravura representation of its breed, this superb 1920's/1930's CZECH ART GLASS necklace features the exceptional glass and FILIGREE hand craftsmanship and carving for which the Czechs were so endlessly -- and rightfully - lauded.

With elaborate and expert carving and etching work, this wonderful antique piece is utterly gorgeous, intensely beguiling and endlessly alluring.

This early 20th century belle's beautiful Czech brass and copper bead ball rosary chain measures 21" (10 1/2" drop) in length, with a THREE-piece drop measuring an additional 4 1/2." The chain closes with a fully functional lobster clasp.

The exquisite, carved glass and elaborate filigree drops at the bottom of this stunner provide immense visual interest.

The drop nearest the chain consists of TWO etched and pierced, SCALLOPED, stacked filigree pieces which serve to majestically embellish this piece. Attached with a beautiful ANTIQUE copper pinch bail to the dainty wire-wrapped rosary chain, there is a wondrous symmetry in color and texture to the entire necklace, each piece individually beautiful and yet, each piece enhanced by the others.

The elaborate "rounded diamond" shaped brass and copper pierced filigree piece directly under the pinch bail measures 2 3/8" in length and boasts exceedingly intricate piercings and fine filigree work. Centered on top of this piece is another: a scalloped brass filigree piece.

Perched atop the second piece, rising upwards in a delicious dome, is an exquisitely defined and detailed, CARVED ANTIQUE CZECH BUTTON. Amethyst, with a grand iridescence and a beatific floral carving of a flower in bloom, this belle is adorned by slightly raised petals done in relief. They are hand painted in GOLD GILT paint!

A comely ETCHED copper piece falls from the diamond-shaped filigree, leading to a powerfully intricate and superior designed pierced copper DOUBLE setting that features extremely extensive filigree that sits beneath a scalloped filigree floral-petaled setting. On top of this elegant and entrancing setting is a matching amethyst button to the one on the larger filigree.

Tremendous definition, dimension and depth are featured in this elegant multi faceted piece, absolutely embracing the intriguing old world elegance of the times.
