This was based on my experience of drawing an Eastern Kingbird at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia, PA when suddenly an Eastern Gray Squirrel jumped straight up in the air from the ground between me and the bird. Since I'd just seen an Ebony Jewelwing and a Zabulon Skipper butterfly in the same area I eventually added them to the print. I like to base my work on actual experiences and am happy when something like this occurs.

I also prefer to work in a quasi-abstract manner.
