14 Gauge 3-conductor Cloth Covered Round Style Electrical Cable

This is a HEAVY Gauge cord, much thicker than the normal 18 gauge cord we sell. Use this cord when you have a power demand that exceeds 18 or 16 gauge cords. Typical uses might be for making power strips, lighting with many high watt bulbs, or powering heavier draw appliances. The same quality and style as our popular line of Cloth Braided electrical cords, now in a 14 gauge option. This cord works great with our heavy duty 3-prong male and female plug/connectors to make extension cords, or for metal gang box hookups, bedside power strips with USB connectors and power outlets, etc. Note: This cord will NOT fit into the opening of our 1/8ip sockets... 14 gauge cord would not typically go directly into a socket, for example you may have a 14 gauge lead coming down from the ceiling (if you are powering a LOT of bulbs, and 18 or 16 gauge cord won't handle), and that would typically branch off into separate cords going to each socket (usually 18 gauge).

This is BRAND NEW, antique style 3-wire, 14 gauge (known as 14/3) stranded copper electrical cord. The 3 wires allow you to use a ground wire, although certain situations may not require one, in which case it's fine to snip off the ground wire and leave it unused.
