I cut a crescent agate for competition several years ago. I started five stones, two were finished and entered and won first and second place. I decided to go back and finish the other stones during the lockdown. One is finished, the others will wait. Brazilian agate has wonderfully defined banding the makes this stone quite striking. It is translucent enough to allow the color of whatever it is worn against to come through, tinting the stone to match the clothes.

Agate is said to be a strong emotional healer and help one discern the truth.
