Support Creative Intelligence
AngelQ Expressions officially opened up shop on Etsy in 2007 with the sole purpose of celebrating Individuality. My shop tagline, “Support Creative Intelligence”, is a wonderful reminder that handmade items are made with a whole lot of Heart and Soul. My pieces are inspired by the Supernatural and the Paranormal, the Odd and Macabre, and all things GROOVY. Thanks to my Muse and several cups of coffee, I am constantly inspired.
I originally began painting treasure boxes and signs and soon embraced my love for unique jewelry and accessories. I have always had an affinity for semi-precious stones and their metaphysical properties, so I often incorporate them into my pieces. Especially hematite. That is an AngelQ Expressions signature stone. Hematite is known for its metaphysical properties in quelling negative energies. We can ALWAYS use good mojo, right?
I also have a fondness for salt. Yes, salt. Salt is representative of the absence of decay and is often used to consecrate and protect surroundings. Paranormal investigators often use salt to bless houses and places which may have bad influences. And my favorite show, Supernatural, uses salt circles to keep evil entities away. My salt vial jewelry has an added bonus: Dragon's Blood Essential Oil. Dragon's Blood is known for its metaphysical properties in protection and consecration. My jewelry and accessories have both function and form – and a whole lot of FUN!
I am literally a one-woman show and I wouldn't have it any other way. I enjoy the creative process of finding the right materials that work together. Often times, I create One-of-a-Kind pieces, because the magic simply happens – just once. Every item that I photograph is done in my studio and what you see is what you get. I do not use stock photos for my jewelry and accessories. I believe that every piece has its own "personality" and it should shine on its own. For me, quality comes before quantity. I also package each order with care and ship them directly from the post office. And who knows? You may even find a surprise treat, which is also an AngelQ and Etsy special touch.
My motto, “Who wants to be like everyone else?” holds true in what I create and who I am as an Artist. You won't find my designs scattered across the covers of top fashion magazines or made in mass quantities for your neighborhood retail chain– and that's the whole point. Celebrate Your Individuality!
