This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase from Clay Bake Studio, contact me, or otherwise use my services through etsy.com or its related sites and services.
This policy applies only to how I handle buyer information as the seller of Clay Bake Studio products. It does not apply to Etsy, Etsy Payments, delivery carriers, or other third-party services that I do not own or control. 1. Information I Collect
To complete your Etsy order, Etsy may provide me with information such as your name, Etsy username, email address, postal address, order and transaction details, and the product you ordered.
For digital products, such as STL files, digital build kits, printable cutter files, SVG maps, guides, and related downloads, I may use your Etsy order details, contact details, Etsy messages, and download-related information to provide access, answer file questions, troubleshoot technical issues, and handle disputes.
For physical products, such as printed cutters, texture rollers, slab height guides, corn starch dusting boxes, other studio tools, and finished polymer clay pieces, I may use your name, postal address, order details, and phone number if required for shipping, delivery, customs, or order support.
If you contact me through Etsy Messages, you may choose to give me additional personal information, such as details for a custom request, support issue, delivery question, or order problem.
Etsy handles payment processing. I do not receive or store your full payment card details.
2. Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I use buyer information only where I have a lawful reason to do so, including:
- To provide my services, such as fulfilling digital downloads, packing and shipping physical orders, answering questions, providing customer support, resolving order issues, and handling disputes.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, customs, safety, or regulatory obligations.
- For my legitimate interests in running and improving Clay Bake Studio, keeping accurate order records, protecting the security and integrity of my shop, preventing fraud or misuse, and complying with Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
- With your consent, only where consent is required for a specific use.
I do not add Etsy buyers to mailing lists. I do not use Etsy buyer information for unsolicited marketing, off-platform advertising, promotional messages, profiling, or automated decision-making. I do not use Etsy Messages to send unsolicited advertising or promotions.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
I share personal information only in limited circumstances:
- Etsy: I share information with Etsy as needed to provide my services through Etsy and comply with my obligations under Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
- Delivery and shipping providers: For physical orders, I may share your name, postal address, phone number if required, and order details with delivery providers such as Australia Post or other carriers, but only to the extent needed to ship and deliver your order.
- Professional and business service providers: I may share limited order information with accountants, tax advisers, bookkeeping services, or legal advisers where necessary for tax, accounting, legal, dispute, or business compliance purposes.
- Legal compliance and protection: I may collect, use, retain, or share information if I believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to respond to legal process or government requests; comply with applicable laws; enforce my agreements, terms, and policies; prevent, investigate, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, Etsy users, Clay Bake Studio, or others.
4. Data Retention
I retain buyer information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. I generally retain Etsy order records for 5 years to meet Australian business record-keeping, tax, accounting, dispute, and compliance obligations. I may keep some information for longer where required by law, where a dispute or legal claim is ongoing, or where it is reasonably needed to enforce my agreements or protect my rights.
Messages, payment records, and platform records held by Etsy may also be retained by Etsy according to Etsy's own privacy policy and account settings.
5. International Transfers
Clay Bake Studio is based in Queensland, Australia. If you are located in the EU, EEA, UK, or another region with data transfer rules, your information may be accessed and processed in Australia and through Etsy or service providers located in other jurisdictions. These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.
Where data transfer rules apply, I will rely on an available legal basis or appropriate safeguard for the transfer, such as the need to provide the product or service you purchased, legal compliance, or another legally approved transfer mechanism where applicable. I do not maintain a separate cloud buyer database, CRM, or marketing list for Etsy buyer information.

- Ask me to correct inaccurate personal information.
