It started?
Hey, so as many Etsy selleres - I didn’t plan to open this store.
I run small DIY projects from time to time and like most people, I tried to manage everything with spreadsheets. I tested inventory templates, pricing calculators, order trackers - lots of them. Each one did something… but never everything I actually needed.
One sheet tracked inventory, another calculated prices, another handled sales. None of them understood how DIY manufacturing really works - components, assembly, BOM, labor, margins, VAT, stock levels. I spent more time jumping between files than actually creating stuff.
So I decided to build my own.
I needed a clear way to track components, assemble products, calculate real COGS, set prices properly and see everything in one dashboard - without complex software or subscriptions.
I kept refining it. Simplifying. Making sure it worked both logically and visually. If something felt confusing, I rebuilt it. If something wasn’t useful in real life, I removed it.
Eventually, I realized this might be also something for you.
That’s when Crafter Tools was born - and this is my debut product.
