Grassi Watch Co. was born from a simple idea: vintage watches shouldn't have a monopoly on character.

I wanted the warmth, proportions and personality of the watches I grew up admiring, but with a modern movement inside that I could depend on every day. No worrying about a half-century-old movement, hunting for obsolete parts or treating the watch like something too precious to wear.

GWC builds watches inspired by the great everyday tool watches of the 1950s, 60s and 70s—divers, GMTs and explorers from an era when watches were instruments first and collectibles second.

They are designed to look at home with a few scratches.

In fact, I hope you put some there.

Because my grandfather's watch wasn't special because it survived fifty years without a mark on it. It was special because those fifty years were visible.

That's the kind of watch I want Grassi Watch Co. to make.
