Meet Roberto Marquez: Copper Fountain Artist
Hello! I’m Roberto Marquez, a passionate copper artist specializing in handcrafted fountains and sculptures. My creations include stunning copper waterfalls, elegant indoor fountains, charming tabletop designs, and beautiful outdoor fountains perfect for your patio or garden. Each fountain is uniquely made by me, using hand-torched and hammered copper sheets and tubing, ensuring that every piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art. While many people create fountains, my focus as a dedicated fountain artist allows me to connect with others and hear their fountain stories. It’s true that there are many affordable options out there, but true artistry lies in crafting fountains that not only cascade beautifully but also produce the soothing sound of flowing water — a truly peaceful and enjoyable experience. I take great care in designing fountains that ensure a harmonious flow of water while keeping it contained. Achieving the perfect balance is essential, and I believe my handmade copper fountains are reasonably priced considering the craftsmanship involved. Since 2008, I’ve been creating these mesmerizing pieces and have recently had the honor of being commissioned for unique sculptures by several art patrons. My inspiration comes from my childhood spent on my family’s ranch, where the gentle trickle of water, cacti, and lily motifs were all around me. Those memories of rugged landscapes and babbling streams have stayed with me, shaping my artistic vision. After moving near the breathtaking Sea of Cortez, I was inspired by the powerful sound of waves crashing against the rocks, motivating me to recreate that soothing sensation in my fountains. The cascading waters I create generate tranquil spaces that bring the beauty of nature into people’s lives. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is hearing from satisfied customers. My fountains with their gentle gurgling sounds have brought a touch of nature to many urban environments and desks. I truly love being a copper artist, and the positive response to my work brings me immense joy.
