Hey corgi lovers!
Being stuck in the hospital is never a fun thing, and I had to be there a lot this past year due to my chemotherapy treatment. What better to do than draw corgis, lots and lots of corgis! As an aspiring young artist, those endless days in the hospital made me feel useless and unimportant. It’s hard to feel like you’re doing something right when there isn’t really much that you can do. I would spend hours in bed feeling like there was so much more I wish I could be doing with my life if I didn’t have to be stuck there.
Feeling defeated, tired, and bored out of my mind I created HappiDraws as a place to share some of the many drawings I had made over those long, nauseating hours.
I made illustrations of some of my favorite Instagram corgis and to my surprise some of these accounts actually started noticing! The page's popularity grew and grew.
I started receiving requests faster than I could process so I continued to create artwork for people because It made me happy to know there was a chance I could bring a smile to their faces. I was doing something that gave me purpose. I was finally able to do something for the world instead of just watching everything happen before me.
It wasn’t long before I started receiving questions about stickers. People were interested in buying stickers of their corgis with my designs and I had an Idea!
I made this Etsy, and here I am. What makes me happiest is the happiness I can bring to others through my art, and this Etsy is my way of sharing that happiness with the world.
