Perfect. It cuts extraneous blubbery lows from my electric upright bass before they get to the compressor, tightening everything up very nicely. And passive, so I save a space on my power supply. EXACTLY what I needed in the simplest possible form factor and at a favorable price. I'm very happy with this.

Paul answered my questions to be sure the unit was what I needed. He was very helpful. The volume control limiter is handy when you have kids doing Karaoke and want them to control the show but also want to limit the volume discreetly. This little unit tucks behind the mixer and nobody knows it’s there. Adults are happy and the equipment is happy. Its visible in the photo but typically it is hidden with cables.

I am still starting out using this to optimize the sound of my electric upright bass, but I can already tell an improvement by decreasing a bit of the low end rumble I don't like. This item was custom made and finished in a week, which is super impressive. So far so great! I'll report back again when I've used it more extensively.
