Hello 👋🏼 My name’s Alexa and I come from
a long line of collectors. I grew up
surrounded by Blue & White, tea parties
on fine china, a knack for entertaining, an
appreciation for the story behind objects, and an even greater thrill for the hunt.

I started this shop when my Grandmother moved out of her home, of 60+ years, on Midday Lane. It was clear that we would not be able to keep all her belongings. So after picking out our favorite memories and pieces, I was looking for a way to make sure her collected items would go to loving homes. And thus, Midday Designs was born. Many of the items you see in my shop are from my Grandmother and Great Grandmother.


Why Midday Designs?:
Shortly after she and my grandfather moved to Midday Lane, my grandfather would come home from work at The Pentagon to find a gaggle of ladies sun-bathing by the pool after a day of shopping, at which point he’d whip up a batch of cocktails, and amuse at how they really had it made, as he served them poolside. And thus, the Midday Lane Got-it-Made Club was created.⁣ My mother and grandmother (and aunt and cousins, and family friends, etc. — a very inclusive bunch!) were founding members and I was lucky enough be born into it — and we really do “got it made!” I’m lucky to now live in the same house oh Midday Lane.
