In 2016, I was a Director of an Oil and Gas Allocation Company. working 60 hours a week and raising 3 kids with my husband working as an Operator at a gas plant. My husband and I have worked different shifts for over 20 years, barley catching glimpses of each other. So as my kids got older and with me having more spare time then I liked, I started My Unique Take as a part-time hobby.
In 2021, I took the plunge and I quit my job. My Unique Take was now my full-time hobby. With the help of my daughter Alyssa, we have built a business that offers custom, personalized gifts and home décor items.
As I am rewriting my story, I have realized that it has been a year since I started my new adventure. So many things change, and I am loving my new life. I now get to see my husband everyday even if it is just for a few minutes. I also get to spend every day with my daughter Alyssa. Which is a blessing. I am loving what we are doing and the direction the company has been heading.
