Waves
Waves have memory
I grew up playing with mercury...
When in 1934 the toaster was a luxury item, my father built his at age 12, and spent the next 87 years making and collecting analog and digital electronics: the FARADIO COLLECTION.
This legacy now seeks new guardians who will keep it alive.
ONDAI is born from memory and the odyssey of documenting tech heritage, learning to honor and let go. This poster series captures the ineffable journey.
Pristine and defiant, these apparatus have endured decades of history, emerging as heroes of a vanished age. Memory resides within these waves, and these prints serve to preserve that heartbeat.
ABOUT THE POSTERS:
PULSE & BEAT Series are designs based on original photography of the actual instrument. The lighting and setting have been created using AI tools to integrate the unit's industrial design into a timeless aesthetic scene.
Please note: primary elements manually restored in post-production to improve technical accuracy. Due to the creative process, secondary technical text may vary. The focus is aesthetic and decorative tribute to electronics golden era, celebrating the form and character of the original instruments under the armor of iconic lamps.
I'll miss bakelite, but the wall will blaze with light.
THE FARADIO COLLECTION:
Original collection available for viewing by appointment (Madrid, Spain) until end of June 2026. Professional accreditation required.
Preparing this wouldn't be possible without my brother Juan's technical verification of the devices.
Deep gratitude to Claude (Anthropic) for collaborating with touch and taste, bringing order to chaos, and lighting pictures at 2700K. Code and heart.
If you don't measure it, it doesn't exist.
