**These dolls are designed and made up as I go. Each doll has their own individual look and personality!! I NEVER make the same doll twice. Each doll is one of a kind. However I will consider doing something similar to a previous look.
I started making handmade crochet dolls/toys many years ago for various charity organizations and after several request, I have recently started making some of my dolls available to the public.
The Process:
How To go about getting a doll. First, contact me in a message either on Etsy or my Offdhookcreations FB page (preferred) Second, I usually find out about the child/person I'm making a doll for to make it customized for them. I need to know things such as their favorite color, likes, girly or tomboy, clothing preference, etc. If your going to get a handmade doll I feel it should represent the child or person lol. (I have a lot of big girls getting dolls too) You can show me an example of a style or favorite outfit and I create my version. The only time the dolls become custom specific is when the person requests detailed specifics. Ex: I want a doll with black hair in two ponytails with butterfly accessories, a hot pink shirt, a blue jumper knee length with white tennis shoes, Leg warmers, and a crossover purse with stud earrings in silver. Those dolls run higher.
If you request accessories that are not normally included with my dolls that's fine, I love a challenge, but the cost may increase.
Otherwise the dolls are custom based on what we come up with.
As an example, a request for the red and white nurse doll was a nurse red uniform, mid skin tone, no hat, and nursing accessories. From there I found out the young lady has glasses. Nurses wear their hair up not down, but instead of straight back we gave this doll some bangs. A lot of nurses now wear crocs or clogs. And I had to have a feature just as significant for a nurse as a hat.
Once the details are completed we will confirm the request, please ensure all the pertinent details are in the listing as I do not go back through an entire convo to see any specific, there are no changes once the order is confirmed, and payment is then obtained. I send out a confirmation photo once the doll is completed and wait for your approval prior to shipping to ensure your complete satisfaction😂.
While I can and do take requests on Etsy. I've found that often it is faster and easier on my Offdhookcreations FB page.

Unless specifically requested not to post photos prior to order completion, photos may be used to compare the original person and the doll and posted on social media.
Doll costs range and depends on what your getting done. They range from $120+ depending on the hairstyle/features/ extras. Mermaids run $75+. They all come with an adoption certificate and are 18" approx the size of an American Girl doll. They have a heart inside to bring your little one lots of love.
If there are no dolls listed, that means there are no dolls available for adoption currently.
You can either Request a doll (by etsy message or inbox my Offdhookcreations FB page) or wait until there's a ready to adopt/ ship doll available/listed on etsy. Timeframe depends when you order and how many orders I have 4-8weeks but I'm usually under that time frame.
I'm not a business this is my hobby! I'm simply a crocheter who's trying to make a difference in her community. I do work FT so am often answering questions quickly while at work but I do usually answer pretty fast.😍
I take what I do very seriously and want the perfect doll for you or your loved ones. There's a lot of questions, but I try very hard, and I think I've hit the mark on a lot of the dolls I've made. Please remember I deal with a lot of people so what may seem simple to you or I , I've found can be different for others, so I'm very careful to clarify things. Besides this way we are both sure I'm making the doll of YOUR dreams. I don't want anyone unhappy with one of my babies😍 If you just want a quick doll, and outfit/personality doesn't matter feel free to check etsy for ready to adopt dolls.
~Orders are not considered taken unless full payment has been received.
~Once payment is received you will then be added to the list and provided a rough estimation as to when work on your doll will begin.
~I will contact you when I'm ready to start your doll and photos will be sent to you upon completion of the doll.
~Once you have received the photo of the completed doll it will be shipped within 3-5 business days with tracking information sent to you via Etsy. I send you a photo of the dolls in their entirety prior to shipping them, so that if people have questions, concerns, or issues it can be addressed or fixed prior to you receiving the doll. I allow 3 days for your approval if I have not received approval in that amount time, I will ship the doll per my shipping policy.
Please dbl check your request because I don't look back at our convo prior to starting an order. I use the info in your order. Any details or special request such as specific date needed by needs to be added in the listing and often needs to be agreed upon ahead of time as there is a rush fee depending on the timeframe. There are no changes once order pd for and processed.

~ My dolls are not for reselling purposes unless previously discussed there will be a limit to the number of dolls you are able to adopt.
Kindly understand that I am one person handcrafting each doll. As well as, I maintain a full time job. This is my passion, love, and hobby. I will not compromise any doll to be rushed. Also know that I try my hardest to include every detail we have agreed on, but there are times when design issues dictate trying something else, so the doll design is not compromised or will come out the way you request/envision. If a concept/idea is not on your doll please know it's because I've done everything to try to make it happen, but ultimately it didn't work in the design. However, I will replace it with something that works within your design of equal value. Should I require more time then was expected I will contact you immediately and we can make adjustments accordingly. 💕
