Necessity & Pleasure
En grandissant, mes deux grands-mères crochetaient et tricotaient et ma mère était une couturière qualifiée et une reine des bricoleurs. Le fait main est dans mon sang. Ma grand-mère m'a appris à crocheter quand j'étais jeune et je l'ai tripoté de temps en temps. En tant qu'adulte, je l'ai repris et je suis tombé amoureux. J'ai ensuite appris à tricoter et à filer aussi. Je dessine professionnellement depuis le début des années 2000. Vous avez probablement vu une partie de mon travail dans des magazines, des livres, sur des sites Web et pour des entreprises de fil. J'ai apprécié chaque étape de mon voyage et je suis ravi qu'ils m'aient conduit ici.
Jouer avec du fil est à la fois méditation et travail quotidiens. Mon travail de conception au crochet et au tricot est autant une nécessité pour mon être qu'un plaisir.

Growing up, both of my grandmothers crocheted and knit and my mom was a skilled seamstress and all-around crafty queen. Handmade is in my blood. My Grandma taught me to crochet when I was young and I fiddled with it off and on. As an adult, I picked it up again and fell in love. I then learned to knit and spin, too. I’ve been professionally designing since the early 2000’s. You’ve likely seen some of my work in magazines, books, on websites and for yarn companies. I’ve enjoyed every step of my journey and am thrilled that they have led me here.
Playing with yarn is equal parts daily meditation and job. My design work in both crochet and knit is as much of necessity to my being as it is a pleasure.
