How I got here
Back when I was in the 8th grade I was in my first home economics class. Our first sewing project was an apron. Ever since then I was hooked on sewing. My family gave me a sewing machine one year for Christmas and I must have put a million miles on it. When I was a Junior in High School I attended a vocational school and majored in Fashion Design. From there my passion for sewing really took off. I could sit behind a sewing machine all day and night if I could.
As I went along in life, my passion was just a hobby I did from time to time. I worked full time in a hospital for several years, then changed careers to real estate. Never enough time to sit down and sew. It wasn't until recently when we moved to the country and I retired, I was able to break out the sewing machine and start creating new things. My passion for sewing was back! I can finally sit behind my sewing machine all day and sometimes into the night. I am filled with ideas and try my best to make those ideas a reality. In the future one of my main goals is to design unique one of a kind formal gowns. For now my passion is taking gently used clothing and transforming them into something completely new and fun.
