It's in my blood!
As far back as I can remember I have had a love of all things bejeweled, pearly and sparkly. My earliest memories of loving jewelry come from visits to the dentist office and picking out a pretty ring from this green glass bowl after a successful check-up. There are pictures of me as a little girl with multiple necklaces and bracelets on and a purse on the wrist; I guess I've never gotten past those habits because that's how I am to this day. Wear that beautiful pearl necklace just for special occasions? No way! You can't take it with you!
I have been making jewelry of one type or another since around 1990, and before that was the usual array of childhood macaroni necklaces and the like. My inspiration has long been the old classic movies, especially from the 30's and 40's and the awesome jewels, real or faux, that the stylish ladies wore back then.
I am a trained goldsmith and gemologist and like to play with just about any type of jewelry and gemstones you can imagine. My father dabbled in jewelry and watches and was a clock maker and my grandfather was a master engraver. I am a firm believer in genes and I thank them both for the passion that I have today!
