Welcome to SuperPlacea. I'm Simon, and my woodcarving journey is a fusion of two cultures. My roots are deep within rich traditional crafts, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty and the warm spirit of the East. However, my studies in the UK exposed me to the elegance of minimalist design—especially medieval-modern aesthetics.
I returned home with a passionate goal: to create decorative woodcarvings that both preserve the exquisite skills I've learned since childhood and seamlessly integrate into modern, globalized homes. SuperPlacea is born from this dream.

We are a young woodcarving studio dedicated to preserving the nearly lost tradition of 100% handcrafted pieces.
Our creative process is simple and slow. It begins with my design table, where I skillfully blend medieval forms with natural elements. Then, my partner, Leo—a skilled carpenter and a distinguished graduate of Silapakorn University in Thailand with ten years of experience—begins the actual carving. Leo abhors machines. He believes that only through the unique energy and pressure of chisels and mallets can carving imbue a work with soul. He crafts entirely by hand, shaping sustainable local woods such as rainwood and teak into a variety of designs.
