Frequently asked questions

My package has a "Delivered" status but I didn't receive it. What should I do?

All of our packages are shipped with a tracking number. You are responsible for tracking your packages once they are shipped. If you cannot be there at the time of delivery, it is your responsibility to call the carrier to arrange a delivery date based on your availability. Any packages lost or stolen after delivery must be claimed to the carrier. If you want a particular shipping option like insurance, signature or specify a safe place to leave your package while you are away, you must inform us before we prepare your package.

What are your Return Policies?

— We want you to be thrilled with your new purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied with an item and wish to return it for a refund, please contact us to initiate a return. We accept returns of unused and unaltered items, in their original condition within 14 days after delivery date. Shipping fees are not refundable. Returned products must be in resalable condition, free from odors and pet hair. We reserve the right to refuse the return if an item does not meet these conditions.

Please visit our website for more details about our return policy: https://tuftingnation.com/pages/return-policy

How to return an item I bought?

— First, please contact us to initiate a return.

— Once your return has been initiated, we will provide you with our return shipping address and instructions via email.

— Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the cause of the return is due to our mistake. The return must be shipped with a tracking number. If the item is not returned in its original condition or if the package is lost during return shipping, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. We reserve the right to deduct fees from customer refunds for damage or loss incurred during return shipping.

Please visit our website for more details about our return policy: https://tuftingnation.com/pages/return-policy

My tool is defective. Can I get a replacement or a refund?

— We’re happy to offer a refund or a replacement if there is any damage to an order. This can be things like defective items, manufacturing errors or the order arriving with clear, demonstrable damages. To do so, please reach out with photo/video evidence of the item’s improper condition. We will replace or refund defective merchandise for a period of 10 days from receipt.

I made a mistake in my order. Can I change it?

— If you placed an order and need to modify it before we process it, please contact us as quickly as possible. If you order has not been processed or packed yet, we will be happy to make changes for you.

Can you cut my rug backing to a custom size?

Unfortunately, we don't do custom cut for our backings. Although we would like to be able to satisfy everyone's needs, custom cuts are time-consuming and, since we try to keep our prices as low as possible, it would only result in a price increase.
But that's why we sell our backings in 1/2 yard increments so you can easily add a quantity that approximates the size you want.

How many threads do I need in my tufting gun?

In order to get a nice rug density, we recommend threading 2 strands of yarn in your tufting gun. This means that you need 2 cones for each color.

How much yarn do I need to make a rug?

There’s many different aspects that can change the amount of wool needed to make a rug (loop vs cut pile, pile height, distance between each tufted rows, etc). But generally speaking, you can expect to use between 0.4 to 0.6 lb (181g to 272g) of yarn per square foot. To give you an idea, 2 cones of 1/2 pounds (227g) (because you need 2 threads in your gun), should allow you to make approximately two square foot.
