selected work from my studio
I am a painter and a photographer living and working in Brooklyn, NY.
As a painter I have had two solo shows at David Findlay Gallery, NY where I was represented from 2003 until the gallery closed in 2008. Over the years I have been included in many group shows and my work has been purchased by many collectors.
As a photographer, I photoblog on a daily basis and have been published by NYTimes Magazine, New York Magazine, The Village Voice, Architectural Digest and Avenue Magazine among others.

I opened my Etsy shop to make some of my small work available on-line. As both a painter and a photographer I believe strongly in daily practice, which (as you might imagine) generates a lot of work which is looking for a home. You'll find the portfolios here fairly eclectic, but they are all bound by a love of color, materials and the desire to explore the intimate and emotive aspects of daily life that characterize my work.
Often there are more pieces in a particular portfolio than I have currently in the shop. You can use the "shop blog" link to the right to view a larger selection of work than is presented here; if something interests you, please use the "request custom order" link (above left) so that I can make it available for you to purchase on Etsy.
In addition to my paintings and mixed media work, I am offering limited edition archival inkjet prints from a new project combining photography and painting entitled "Somewhere In Between" as well as from "the Flowers" project. There is also a shop section of blank greeting cards which are beautifully printed reproductions of my watercolor drawings.
I hope you enjoy browsing through "more random thoughts". To learn more about my work and my process; visit www.meledandri.com.
