"I bought different sized needle and yarn that I meant to use for another vest pattern but switched to this one instead--it was surprisingly very easy to go off of the measurements and adjust the pattern to my materials (I also slightly adjusted the overall size of the vest and width of the straps to make it oversized)! I absolutely love the result. This was the first ever knitting project I've done that wasn't a scarf. I would highly recommend this pattern to beginners!"
