I followed the instructions that came with my Kiefer package. It did take quite a few days for the key for grains to multiply. At first I had less than a teaspoon of grains as a starter. After about eight days, I had about one tablespoons worth. Several weeks later I now have 2 tablespoons of kefir grains. My yield right now is half a litre of Kiefer every 2 to 3 days. Update: shorty after writing this review. My yield has more than doubled. It might take a bit of time, but I now make lots of Kiefer. 2 litres every 2-3 days.
